Kembong is also known as the Indian mackerel, a species of mackerel in the scombrid family. The Indian Mackerel is a staple in many Southeast Asian households due to its sweet and tender flesh. Indian mackerels are popular in cuisines such as Indian and Malay, where they're often fried and paired with sambal chili or curry. If you're lucky, you might even find some fish roe inside them!

Do note that the weight range provided is before any de-gutting and cleaning of the fish. We do not open the stomach of this fish to prevent bones from poking out.
